Dog Park

Hi All,

I went to my first dog park in Bloomington. Usually I get really excited and look forward to playing with other dogs. But this park had so many big dogs and smelled nothing like the Pug Park I'm used to. It took me awhile to smell all the new smells and get used to the big dogs smelling me. Mommy said next time I'll probably feel comfortable enough to play with them. She also said she's trying to set up 1-on-1 playdates for me to help me with this transition to my new city. I'm sure feeling like the odd kid out, though. My Mommy wants me to fit in so badly that she's contemplating bringing a doggy cake to bribe them. Daddy thinks this is all ridiculous, and that they'll either like me or not. I hope they end up liking me. I sure miss my Indy Pug Friends. I'm looking forward to seeing you all at the June meet-up.

Anyways, here's pictures from the dog park.

Went to Work with Mommy

I got to go to work with Mommy! She let me sit at her computer to update my blog. I loved looking at my pictures. I sure am photogenic. :) The people that Mommy works with are very nice. They kept coming by to pet me. Here are pictures of me blogging...

Hot Tub Time

Last night Mommy and Daddy got the hot tub started for the season. Since the chlorine level was low and the temperature was only about 90 degrees, Mommy said I could come in with her. I love water! Usually in the summer Mommy lets me play in lakes and run on the stones in the creek. Anyways, back to the hot tub; Mommy held me so I wouldn't sink. She said there wasn't enough room for me to doggy paddle. Daddy thought it was funny turning on the jets. But it scared me so badly that I ended up clawing Mommy. Mommy got mad at Daddy, but he made it up to her by getting her a hot fudge sundae. I was jealous, and she didn't even share. Not fair! Here's a picture of me in the hot tub, as well as a picture of Mommy kissing me.

Baby Gates

My Mommy puts a baby gate across the door to her and Daddy's bedroom. She says it's okay for the kitties to go in, but not me. I think it's unfair, but she says she doesn't like my hair in her bed. Whatever! Anyways, last night I heard a big boom and then a pitiful meow. Then I heard Daddy laugh hysterically. I've never heard him laugh as hard as he did. Mommy made some weird noises too. She was half laughing but sorta crying. I was really worried, but Mommy explained to me what happened. She said after she put Tootsie and I to bed (when she does that, she puts another baby gate across the door of my room), she forgot to remove the baby gate across her bedroom. But she still had the door almost closed (left enough room for the kitties to get in). Anyways, my dumb kitty brother, Aristotle, apparently jumped over the gate and flew face first into the door. What a dumb arse! Who doesn't notice a big door? All I know is, he's never gonna live this down. I'm going to tease him unmercifully. Haha...big oaf!

Hey Pug Friends,

Have your Mommy check out this link:
http://www.completenaturalnutrition.com/sample.php

You can get a free sample of a Terrabone and Cheese Please. I love chewing on my Terrabones, and my Mommy happily gives them to me since they are organic, natural, and made in the US. The Cheese Please treats are great too, and I can taste the real Wisconsin cheese. Mommy gets these for me at the Bella Dog Bakery on Madison, just south of Southport.

Starting April 18th Mommy and I are going to be at Bella Dog Bakery for KPR (Kentuckiana Pug Rescue). Tracey and Ron (owners) have already told lots of people, and there will be people waiting to see me and find out more about adopting/fostering my Pug Friends that need homes. We're going to try and raise some special money for Teddy's eye surgery, too. Please come out if you can to support KPR...and visit me! :)

Clear Creek Trail

I'm so happy we moved! I get to see Mommy more. She used to leave really early in the morning to get to work and not get home until dinner time. She would only play with me for an hour, and if I was lucky maybe two. Now Mommy lets me run around the backyard and even gives me tummy rubs before she goes to work. In the middle of the day she comes home and eats (but doesn't share). At least she eats on the back deck, and lets me run around the backyard. She also gives me kisses and more tummy rubs! Even though she leaves after an hour or so, by the time I'm done with my afternoon nap, she's back. Mommy even takes me for a walk before we eat dinner. Yesterday she took me to this new trail. She said it's really long, so we could only walk part of it. It was great...so many new smells...new bushes to pee on...people to greet...doggies to sniff. After dinner Mommy played fetch with me and my Liverman. By the time she put me to bed, I was pooped and ready to sleep.

St. Patty's Day

So Mommy was so busy celebrating St. Patty's Day yesterday that she couldn't post until this morning. Apparently she coordinated a party at work where everyone had to bring a green food. She ended up breaking out from an overdose of green dye. Here's a picture of my goofy Mommy.

See that stupid tiara...she tried to put it on me! Doesn't she know that boys don't wear tiaras? I was not very happy.
Mommy said she's going to make it up to me by taking me and Tootsie for a walk at this trail that is like the Monon. She said there are lots of doggies there, and maybe I can make friends...or at least sniff out some good butts. :)

1st Day in New House-Pictures

Here are pictures from the first day in my new house.

Moving

This is my first blog, and I'm really excited about it...a little nervous as I don't know what I'm doing...but still excited. Mommy said this is my journal where I talk about everything going on in my life. So I thought as my first post, I should talk about my first day in my new house. Saturday the movers came and took everything out of my house. I didn't understand where everything was going. At first I thought they were stealing from us, but Mommy and Daddy didn't seem mad. And then Mommy put me, my Cockapoo sister (Tootsie), my Persian brother (Aristotle), my Himilayan sister (Aluna), and my Blue Russian sister (Ariyana) in the car. It was very crowded and seemed like a long drive. We arrived at a house, and Mommy let us run loose around the house! The house is sooo much bigger than our old house. Tootsie and I even get our own room. We have a pink wingback chair to sit in, our beds, tons of chew toys and stuffed animals in crates, a dresser filled with drawers of treats, chew toys, and food, and a closet with our clothes. Mommy said she stocked up on treats from my favorite place, Bella Dog Bakery.

Yesterday Daddy put up a fence so I can run around without a leash. At first I didn't know I was free to run, but I figured it out pretty quickly. Mommy said I spent hours just sniffing and marking my territory. But I told her that I was just claiming what was mine. The backyard has a big deck. Mommy said she's going to get a swing, so I can snuggle with her out in the sunshine. I can't wait!
